1. Data Collection

CoolCalc does not collect any personal data.

This app runs entirely on your device:

No account registration
No cloud sync
No analytics SDK
No advertising SDK
No third-party tracking

All information you enter—room dimensions, location, equipment specs—is stored only in the app's local UserDefaults on your device. It is permanently deleted when you remove the app.

2. Location

If you grant permission, the app reads your approximate location (city level) to look up local climate data for HVAC load calculations. Location data:

Is only accessed when you tap "Use Current Location"
Is never transmitted, stored, or shared with any server
Can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings

3. Camera / AR

The app uses Apple's RoomPlan API to scan room geometry. All scan data:

Is processed entirely on-device
Never leaves your phone
Can be deleted from the scan history at any time

Apple's Privacy Policy applies to the RoomPlan framework itself.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

All locally stored projects and scan records can be permanently removed using the delete function within the app. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

5. Third-Party Services

This app does not embed any third-party SDKs, load remote resources, or make network connections—unless you manually query an external API for climate parameters when local data is insufficient (no personally identifiable information is included).

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Policy Changes

If a future version adds any data collection (e.g., cloud backup, accounts), this page will be updated and the app will re-prompt for your consent.

Your Privacy Choices

Since this app does not collect, use, or share any personal data, you are fully protected by default with no additional steps required.

If you wish to:

Delete all data: Delete all projects in the app, or remove the app to clear all local storage.
Revoke location permission: Go to iOS Settings > CoolCalc > Location > Never.
Revoke camera permission: Go to iOS Settings > CoolCalc > Camera > Off.
